Main line done

With lots of layout work time in the last 3 weeks we have managed to lay 525 feet of cork and track for the main lines, as well as got 90% of the wiring done.

With all the main line track in place it is time to start to run trains to find flaws. So far we have only found some small problems that have already been fixed.

Layout Construction Begins.

First let me start by telling you a little about what the Panther Sub Division is. We are a small closed group of 11 model railroaders that have been working on layouts together for 12 years. We meet in the back warehouse of Panther Hobbies in Mississauga On, Canada, where we have a 27'x13' space. This is the 3^rd layout to fill that space.

Lets start with the track plan. Here is the track plan. As you look at the plan there are really 3 layout in 1. First there is the Blue and the Red circles that will be display loops that can be DC or DCC, then there is the rest, a double track DCC main that doesn't show much but the main lines now. Industries will be added as we go.

Then we have some construction photos. We have been working on this layout for only 2 weeks and already have all the cork installed. Monday we will start with laying the track.
